Artistic Gymnastics offers a fun way for children to have an active birthday celebration without a lot of fuss!
What we do: Provide invitations; One-hour class with 8:1 instructor/ child ratio; Provide paper goods, table, chairs, and beverages; Assist during 1/2 hour with cake and presents.
What you do: Pick up invitations and mail them out; Bring the cake and goodie bags; Take lots of pictures!
Logistics:
1. All parties are held on Saturday or Sunday, and they are 1.5 hours long. Because of other activities and parties, it is very important that guests arrive on time and are picked up promptly. Please inform all parents!
2. Artistic Gymnastics staff will be in charge of all class activities during the first hour. For safety reasons, parents are NOT allowed on the gymnastics floor.
3. Staff will assist you with the final 30 minutes of the party. They will help you serve the cake and beverages, and will clean up while your child is opening gifts.
Cost for 10 participants: $120 members; $135 non-members
Additional guests: $8 each
$50 deposit required; $25 non-refundable if you cancel

On a field trip to Artistic Gymnastics kids participate in a fun filled gymnastics class involving stretching, strengthening and exposure on all apparatus. Obstacle courses will be set up to keep kids moving and active!
All levels are invited to enjoy our facility equipped with an in-ground trampoline, a 30’ tumble track, foam pits, bars, balance beams, vaults, mats, and training shapes.
Artistic Gymnastics has been serving the community for over 23 years. All of our senior staff are USAG Safety Certified, First Aid Certified and have had background checks. Safety comes first at Artistic Gymnastics.
- Cost: $5.00 per child / hour. Paid day of Field Trip by cash or check.
- Your organization provides transportation to and from the gym.
- Each child must have a completed waiver and proper clothing (No jeans or jewelry) to practice.
- Minimum of 10 Children.
- Maximum of 60 Children.

Open gym provides parent and child a chance to play in the gym using obstacle courses, trampoline, and foam pits. Children have time to explore and play using the gym space and equipment.

Artistic Gymnastics offers private gymnastics and tumbling lesson on an individual basis. A private lesson allows the gymnasts to enhance their skills in a one-on-one instructional setting where the focus is only on them.
All participants must complete the Artistic Gymnastics Release and Waiver form prior to the lesson and should be dressed appropriately (NO jeans and/or jewelry).
Private lessons are available by appointment only and cannot be conducted during scheduled class times.
A 24 hour advance notice is required for all cancellations and/or reschedules. Cancellations and/or reschedules occurring less than 24 hours prior to the the lesson wil incur the full lesson fee.

Our Staff
Here at Artistic Gymnastics we give the highest priority to the safety of your child and the quality of training they receive. Therefore we insure our staff have all been trained and certified through the United States Gymnastic Federation Guidelines.
The A.G. Staff is selected not only for their teaching skills, safety training and gymnastics knowledge, but for their love and enthusiasm for the sport and working with children.
Our Senior Staff are all USAG Safety, First Aid, and CPR Certified.
Owner/ Director
Karen Hughes started Artistic Gymnastics in 1989 and has been serving the communityfor 20 years. She is a USGF Elite National Gymnast and a scholorship athlete at the University of Massachusetts. After earning a BS in Sports Management she coached for 5 years in NY leading the Golden Apple gymnasts to National competitions and state tittles. She was Director of Gymnastics at Pensacola Jr. College in 1986-87. She is married and has two children.
Lesa Reed has been a member of the Artistic staff for 17 years. She teaches pre-school classes, leads birthday parties and works accounts payable. She attended Penn State University and New York University earning a BS in Early-Secondary Education. She operated her own home day care in NY for seven years and taught at the Enrichment Center in RTP. Lesa is married and has three children.
Jessica Wilson has been teaching at the gym for 8 years. She was a former member of the Artistic Gymnastics Team for 5 years. She graduated from Garner High School and is currently finishing an associate degree at Wake Tech in Early Childhoon Education. She coaches team, teaches classes and works in the office in programming.
Christine Lamb has been teaching at the gym for 8 years. She was a former Artistic Gymnastics Team member and graduated from Garner High School. Christine is currently finishing her degree in Nutrition Science at NC State University. She plans on pursuing a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. She coaches team and classes.
Mallory McCarthy competed Level 5 through Level 9 competitive gymnastics at Artistic. She graduated from Apex High School and is currently studying nutrition and is a member of the gymnastics club team at NC State. She aspires to pursue a Masters Degree in Nutrition. Mallory coaches hot shots and tumbling classes.
Betsy Newsome competed for ten years through Level 9. She graduated from Southeast Raleigh High School and is currently a Theatre Major at NC State. She is active in the local theatre and continues to pursue a carrer in acting. She has been teaching at Artistic for two years and teaches beginner through advance classes.
Katherine Keith has been a member of Artistic Gymnastics for over 11 years and competed through Level 9 Regionals. She graduated from Southeast Raleigh High School and is studying Sports Management at NC State. She teaches classes, tumbling and hot shots.
